Welcome to the August 2002 momsoftware e-news. In this issue we have important news about the MOM users group which is taking place this October in Fremont. The 2002 MUG Registration booklets have been mailed, (although if you can't wait you can register online at www.momsoftware.com). Be sure to check our site for enrollment information and details about specific classes and training sessions.

Tax Table Update

This week MOM software clients using the Payroll Module (SP) can expect to receive a tax table update CD. This is in response to the recent changes in the tax law, (and the change in withholding tax rates), enacted by Congress and signed by the President.
The Update may be downloaded from the support and updates areas on the momsoftware site.

MOM software payroll users should load the update prior to the first payroll processing in July 2001. After installation, the tables will activate on the first payroll process in July. The tax tables will be changed during the ‘Build Payroll” step.
After the Build Payroll step, you can check the federal tax tables (SP-TF-FI) to make sure that the percentages are the following: 15, 27, 30, 35 and 38.6. If the new percentages do not show in the tax table file call C.W.S. for assistance.

MOM Users Group 2001

The MOM Users Group and conference takes place this October. The annual conference is the best place to gather with CWS staff and fellow clients to obtain the latest on MOM software features and enhancements.

Conference cost:

$230.00 per day for first participant, and $85.00 per day for each additional participant. Included in the cost of the conference attendees each day will receive a continental breakfast, buffet luncheon and afternoon snack.
This year we are proud to announce that clients enrolling for all three days of the conference may attend an invitation only dinner taking place on the second evening of the conference (18th). Come for all three days; expand your knowledge and your waistline.

Accommodations and Reservations:

We have reserved a number of rooms at the Hilton for a special rate of $169.00 per night (single or double). Reservations must be guaranteed for arrival by a major credit card or one night’s room rate as advance deposit at the time the reservation is made. In order to receive your negotiated group rate, guest must identify themselves as being with Corbin Willits Systems when making reservations.
Individual reservations should be made directly with the hotel at (510) 490-8390 through the reservations department. All reservations must be made by September 28, 2001.
